According to the Damen Shipyard Group news, Honghua Construction Co., Ltd. (HHC) recently ordered two new double-sea axe pure aluminum alloy rapid personnel transport FCS 2710 from Damen Shipyard Group, which will be used for the operation and maintenance of offshore wind power in Taiwan. business. The contract was signed at the end of January and will be built at the Damen Singapore Shipyard and will be delivered in early 2020.

Compared with the previous generation FCS 2610 ship type, the FCS 2710 also has the Axe Bow (Tomahawk) bow line type patented by Damen. The hull is extended by 1 meter and the hull is 1 meter above the waterline, which can carry 2 times of the operator. It offers more flexibility, more cabin capacity, more available deck space, and higher comfort and more accommodation. The larger hull design allows the FCS 2710 to sail in harsher weather conditions and to perform the top work. The two vessels ordered by Honghua Construction will be additionally modified to meet the customer's individualized needs and appropriately optimized according to local Taiwanese specifications.
